Despite Minnesota's reputation for frigid temperatures and long winters, it isn't always cold and snowy. In fact Minnesota has four, distinctly different and beautiful seasons. Autumn in Minnesota can't be beat. It's a great time to get out and enjoy the outdoors. In September, the average high temperature is 74 degrees while the average low temperature is 54 degrees. The area averages 3.3 inches of rainfall during the month of September.

Downtown Minneapolis has an extensive skyway network.  The skyways connect to the Church of St. Olaf and will allow you to shop and eat in downtown Minneapolis without going outside or negotiating any traffic.  A map of the complete Minneapolis skyway system is provided below.
